OUTLOOK 2003 – ADD NEW EMAIL

 

Step 1  Click on Tools then accounts

 

Step 2 Click on Add new email account then select Next

 

Step 3 Select POP3 then Next

 

Step 4 Fill out the following with YOUR NAME and YOUR EMAIL address as provided on

Your Customer info Sheet then click MORE SETTINGS

 

Step 5 Select “Outgoing Server” then check “My outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication

 

Step 6 Click OK then NEXT then OK and close

 

Your Done!

OUTLOOK EXPRESS – ADDING A NEW ACCOUNT

 

Step 1 Open Outlook Express

 

Step 2 Click on Tools then Accounts

 

Step 3 Click on ADD then MAIL

 

 

Step 4 Following the auto wizard, Enter your name

 

Step 5 Enter your email address found on your account paper work or on the Customer portal

Then “Next”

 

Step 6 Enter your mail server found on your customer paper

 

 

Mx 0 = zero nm.ruralwave.ca

 

Step 7 Enter your email account with out the @ruralwave.ca

 

Step 8 Click Finish then click on the MAIL tab

 

Step 9 Highlight your account and click properties then select SERVERS tab

Under the servers tab under the “Outgoing Mail Server” heading

Click the box beside “My server requires authentication” then click “Settings…”

Beside the check box.

 

Step 10

Make sure that the radius button beside the “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”

 

Step 11 Click OK then Click Apply and then OK and OK

 

Your done

THUNDERBIRD ADDING A NEW ACCOUNT

 

Step 1 Open Thunderbird

 

Step 2 Go To File then NEW then MAIL ACCOUNT

 

Step 3 Input your name and email address with password then click contiune

 

Step 4 Click Contiune then

Click on MANUEL SETUP then server settings:

 

Step 5

Setup the mail server and check boxes as per above

 

Step 6 Click on OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP)

Then edit your default SMTP server by selecting it and clicking Edit

 

Step 7 Setup your SMTP server as per below with your “username” in the place of jdoe then click ok

 

Step 8 Test and your done!

OUTLOOK 2007 CHANGE EXISITING EMAIL TO SECURE MAIL

 

Step 1 Open Outlook 2007

 

Step 2 Click on Tools menu then Account Settings

 

Step 3 Select your Account to change I.E. youremailaccount@ruralwave.ca

 

            Your account can be found on your Ruralwave customer info sheet, or you can login to the customer

portal located on the Ruralwave Home Page top right corner.

 

Step 4 Click “More Settings…”

 

Step 5 Select “Outgoing Server” Tab

 

Step 6 Check the box which says “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

 

Step 7 Make sure “Use the same settings as my incoming server” is selected

 

 

Step 9 Select “OK

 

Step 10 Select “Next”

 

Step 11 Select “Close”

 

Your done!

Step 2 Click on Tools then account settings and open your SMTP settings by clicking on them

 

Step 3 Click on default smtp (should be your ruralwave smtp account) then click edit

 

Step 4 Change your Authentication medthos to “PASSWORD, TRANSMITTLED INSECURELY”

Change your username to your email account with out the @ruralwave.ca portion

 

Step 5 Click OK then Click OK

 

Your done!
