LITTLE BRITAIN, ON, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 – Leaskdale Homes & Businesses Can Now Book Their Fibre Internet

Ruralwave, a recognized leader in rural broadband, today announced installations have started for residents in Leaskdale. Residents who pre-signed for their “Fibre To The Home (FTTH)” service will be contacted to schedule their installations this week.

“Everyone who pre-signed for Fibre-to-the-Home high-speed Internet in Leaskdale can now schedule their installation,’” says Ruralwave’s Sales Manager, Ryan Williams.

Ruralwave broke ground in the spring of 2021, alongside Mayor Dave Barton – you can view the video here: Barton notes with Fibre Internet entering the community, Leaskdale residents will be able to work and attend school easier while staying home.

“We’ve all seen in the last couple years how difficult it’s been to be remote in a community like Leaskdale,” says Barton. “And things are going to get better starting today.”

The first resident in Leaskdale to receive FTTH was Tim McKeown. McKeown is pictured above (left) with Ryan Williams, Sales Manager at Ruralwave.

“The Fibre Internet is reliable and quite fast. Our Airstream TV service has been working great as well,” says McKeown.

Ruralwave offers several residential and business Fibre Internet plans ranging from 25MB/s download speed up to 1GB/s download speed. All Fibre Internet plans from Ruralwave include unlimited data. Ruralwave also provides TV and Phone services.

Ruralwave currently provides Internet services to over 2,700 customers throughout the townships of Ramara, Scugog, Brock, the City of Kawartha Lakes and the Municipality of Clarington.

Ruralwave became a subsidiary of Rogers in September 2020.
