Just in time for Thanksgiving, Cable Cable and Ruralwave partnered with Kawartha Lakes Food Source (KLFS) to connect 50 families in need with Thanksgiving meal kits.
The meal kits contained all the fixings for a Thanksgiving dinner and included a $20 gift card to Sobeys to buy a fresh turkey, ham or otherwise. All items were purchased from Sobeys in Fenelon Falls, and Cable Cable and Ruralwave team members assembled the kits and delivered them on September 29.
In a continued effort to give back to the community, the team members also assisted with the “porch pick-ups” hosted by KLFS on September 24 and October 1. KLFS is the only central food distribution warehouse in Kawartha Lakes, and support is always needed to ensure they continue to feed the community.
